1956

On June 15th of that year, marine engineer Enrique de Sendagorta founded SENER, the first Spanish engineering company. Founded in Bilbao (Spain), the company focused its work on marine engineering projects.

1960

José Manuel de Sendagorta, brother of the founder, joins SENER. With his arrival, the company expands into the industrial sector, processing plants, marine construction work, the petrochemical sector and civil engineering.

SENER opens its second Spanish office in Madrid, with the main aim of developing projects for the chemical and processing industries.
