SENER supports practical projects such as Formula Student, which help the students in the platform apply their learnt theory knowledge, as financial support or as a partner with technological contributions through engineers that take part giving technological advises, developing practical tests, coordination, etc.

The Formula Student initiative allow the engineering students of the High Technical School of Bilbao to design, develop and manufacture a race car to compete in real conditions against one hundred units from European, American and Australian Universities, at the British Silverstone Circuit.

In an annual event organized by the IMechE (Institution of Mechanical Engineers) the Formula Student single-seater must overcome difficult tests, statics as dynamics, related with resistance requirements, consume, speed, acceleration and stability throughout the four days of the competition.
