An important indian company visits Gemasolar
On Thursday 17 May a group of representatives from an important Indian company will visit the Gemasolar plant being built by Torresol Energy in Fuentes de Andalucía (Seville). Santiago Arias, the company’s Plants Director, will be responsible for guiding the guests through the installations and explaining how Gemasolar operates.
Gemasolar is an innovative concentrated solar power plant and the world’s first commercial scale project to be built with a central tower, a field of heliostats, and a molten salt storage system. The plant will supply clean, safe energy to 25,000 homes and reduce atmospheric CO2 emissions by more than 30,000 tonnes a year. It is due to become operative in 2011.
