On Monday March 29th, a delegation of the Japanese company Mitsui will visit the Gemasolar plant accompanied by Torresol Energy’s Chief Infrastructures Officer, Santiago Arias.
Located in Fuentes de Andalucía (Seville), Gemasolar is an innovative Concentrating Solar Power plant that, once built in 2011, will supply clean and secure energy to 25,000 households and reduce CO2 emissions by more than 30,000 tons a year. Gemasolar is the first commercial-scale solar power project to be built based on a central tower receiver, and heliostat field technology and an innovative molten salt heat storage system.
