The Torresol Energy plants boast cutting-edge technological solutions that set them apart from other thermosolar plants. The core objective of the company's research activity is to significantly reduce the costs of generation of this type of electricity.
The company operates three plants in Andalusia (Spain):
- Gemasolar: with central tower, salt receiver and heliostat technology, 19.9 MW rated power and 110 GWh of annual production
- Valle 1 and Valle 2, two plants with cylindrical-parabolic collector technology, each one with 50 MW of rated power and an annual output of 170 GWh.
Similarly, other projects are well advanced in Andalusia and new projects are being defined in Abu Dhabi and the United States.
